Meetings of the full Town Council are open to the public and press unless the business to be transacted is of a private or confidential nature
(Local Government Admissions to Meetings (Public Bodies) Act 1960 and Local Government Act 1972, ss 10A to 100K: and ACA 1998, s10)
Meetings are usually held at 7 p.m. prompt in the Upper Hall of the Town Hall Building, High Street, Northallerton on the third Monday of each month with the exception of August when the Council is in recess and there are no meetings. In May (unless an election year) meetings are held on the second Monday in the month.
Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, meetings are held remotely and members of the public can access these by contacting the Clerk prior to midday on the day of the meeting.
Northallerton Town Councils meeting Notices and Agendas will be displayed on the Town Council website and notice boards three working days in advance of the meeting
The Minutes published herewith are only those that have been adopted by the full Council.
Town Council meeting agenda’s and all items to be discussed will be displayed on the display board in the Upper Hall from 4pm on the day of meeting for anyone who would like to view this.
