The Town Council hosts a number of annual events for the community. As a town council we work with local artists, organisations, businesses and charities to bring fun, free and exciting events for our community. We also organise memorial events to commemorate integral dates that have made our history.

Northallerton Town Council was privileged to be involved in the UCI World Championships 2019, Northallerton Welcomes the world. Please check out our video to see the county town of North Yorkshire host this worldwide event and what we got up to.

Festive Friday 2021

This year, due to the recent pandemic we have decided to change the format of our usual Santa Sunday event, held usually on the first Sunday of December. This year, on Friday 3rd December, in partnership with Northallerton BID (Love Northallerton) and their late-night shopping event we are throwing a 2-hour event between 6-8pm with Santa making his grand entrance on his sleigh and handing out presents to the children of Northallerton on the Town Square, delicious Christmas food stalls, musical performances, mince pies etc. Don’t miss this free, festive filled family event on the High Street this Christmas!
