At their meeting on 18th October, Northallerton Town Council offered congratulations to the towns Olympians Marc Scott, Scott Lincoln and Laurence Whiteley MBE on their recent outstanding achievements. In 2017 Laurence Whiteley MBE was given the title of Honorary Citizen and it was agreed, unanimously, that this honour will now be bestowed upon Marc Scott & Scott Lincoln in recognition of their successes. A celebration will be organised as soon as possible and the towns Honorary Citizen 2020, John Hyde, will also be presented with his award as this was not able to be done during the pandemic.
