20’s Plenty 22nd February

There will be a public demonstration at the entrance to County Hall from 8.30am onwards to 10.30 am before the start of the quarterly meeting of North Yorkshire County Council on Wednesday 22nd February to urge all County Councillors so to have regard to the wishes of the public across North Yorkshire to have default 20mph speed limits on local roads where appropriate.

This will particularity encourage people to walk and cycle to schools and local places of employment safety.

The majority of roads locally lend themselves to 20mph.

If you are interested in improving road safety and perhaps would find it safer to walk or cycle with your children to school if speed limits were lowered, please attend the demonstration. You do not have to arrive at 8.30am - any time before 10.30am would be great.
